Grace was born in Germany and immigrated to San Pedro, CA with her family in 1950. She is an educator who has worked for the LAUSD since 1971.
Grace has been active in the Polish community of Los Angeles for many years. She took part in Polish folk dancing in the 1960s-1970s. She has been a Board member and volunteer of the following Polish-American organizations: Children’s Medical Care Foundation, Polish American Cultural Network, Polish American Historical Association, Polish National Alliance, Polish American Congress, and Polish University Club in more recent years. Grace believes that it is important that youth have a greater appreciation of their own and others’ ethnic heritage and become active in the Polish community.
